True, it is a great read, even you as an atheist can read it. The devil knows the Bible inside out better than we do. It seems though when the offer of proving you wrong you always say read the bible, like its a cop out and you do not truly want to see the facts about scientific proof of Christ. I am not impressed you can read the Bible, anyone can do that. Oh, and when I use the word you I mean atheist in general no doult Jesus was a living breathing man and so was his teachings . i also believe the bible to be mostly a historical book in some ways. why i stated , why not just read the bible ? though the bible is mostly stories , true or false ever story has a meaning or point . still a good book to read believer or not . myself i never care to ask for proof of any religion . like in this case the non-believer's are doing the same thing they fear from believer's , forcing their belief's on to others . i have a problem with any belief being pushed onto others . last time i checked we are free to choose . One thing you and I agree on is pushing any religion On someone. I do tell people about Jesus and what He did in my life and it is up to them to believe or not How do you believe Jesus was a real person? From the Bible? You believe that because the Bible said so??? You have no proof He was a real person though? You cannot pick and Choose what you want to believe from the Bible. You have to Believe all of it or none of it. I choose to believe it. You said It was just a book by men, or someone did. It is a book Inspired by God. If you study it and k ow the times the Books where written there is so much that coincides there Is no way a bunch if men could have wrote all those Books and planned it that way. history is history , jesus was real . one can depute his belief but not the man . the storys ,,, in the bible i believe some could be true and have history to back it up while other or nothing more than a parable . one thing you have to remember ,,,, man put it (the bible) together as a book .

In fact, they are so bent on destroying religion that they will try and stop a religious program that helps to stop urban violence. Are you saying they support violence? I am no way condoning what they are doing... but they are simply presenting a separation of "church(religion)" and state.. I believe they are a bunch of idiots myself but the law supports what they are fighting for.. Don't think it is right but do believe these wombats will prevail in their fight... There is no such law as separation of church and state. Ask Roy Moore why the Ten Commandments were removed... You are not allowed to force religion on anyone... or lack there of... The constitution has no such law. It only says that the government can make no law establishing a national religion. The whole separation of church and state thing came about from some secularist finding , and using to their benefit , some personal letters that Jefferson ( I think)wrote that mentioned it. Our Founding fathers founded this country on a foundation of Godly belief and they never intended for God to be excluded from every facet of government. It is just another lie that has been perpetrated on a society that really doesn't know the history of this countries beginnings nor has a strong grasp of our constitution. Bill's right. Who said he was wrong.... What university degrees do you have to back up your opinion? Just curious as to what the basis is for your opinion.

I have no idea whether creation was caused by a bang, clang or wang but I do know that most mainstream religions are pretty close-minded about who God is, and they base these beliefs on what they are told by someone who's entire livelyhood roots from their ability to convince others that they have a monopoly on right & wrong. Christians and atheists both start out believing what they do because of what they read or someone else told them. However, Christians can graduate from believing to KNOWING; atheists can't. If you look for ways to prove God isn't real, then you will not know the truth until death. If you actually look FOR God, he will reveal himself to you and you will KNOW. The burden of proof lies with the nonbeliever. I don't need scientific evidence to prove love, hate, or fear exist. The same goes for Christ. Seek and you will find. It is far easier than you might think. Well, I guess I haven't been clear, I never said I was an athiest or that I doubted the existance of Jesus, but I probably believe in a very different God than most preachers talk about on Sunday morning. Have you ever read the Gospels, Matthew ,Mark ,Luke , and John? I had a different view of God until I did and met the real God from the Bible. We'll try to ignore the implication and say I have, mkay? I haven't limited my theological studies to what ol Parson Jones said was the Only True Word, and I pity those who do. It's not heresy to educate yourself, regardless of what you're told.
