Anybody been finding dead deer this year? They've been popping up left and right up here in Jackson County. Some look like blue tongue and some don't. Just curious if this is local or widespread.

widespread, always is.

I know of EHD/Bluetongue in Shelby and Bibb Counties.

it kills deer in near every county in Al every year, sometimes a lot, most times just a few.

If you are a deer and you live in the SouthEast of the USA, you live with blue-tounge as part of your life. It kills some. Some recover.

a lot of them will be found in water or next to it, because of the high temperature they get. If you find one in winter and the base beading is very sharp, not rubbed, it probably died from EHD in Aug/Sept.
