I bought the shrink wrap online off ebay and replaced the ones on my API for like $10. BassPro carries the chains if you want to pay the money.

Those cable on your Summit should never wear out. The way the cable is twisted and then the dowels affixed almost prohibits the strands from straying. The only thing that you likely will have to replace is the shrink tubing that goes over the cable. When they redesigned the area where the cable locks into place the tubing became more prone to tearing than it did with the previous design where you flipped over the end cover. Summit actually recommends leaving the tubing off once it wears out because functionally it works better. (This is in the instructions and safety video) The tubing is just to make the cables look pretty for everyday consumers and quieter in the field. No need to replace them unless they are cut or rusting for some reason.
