The old guy is Emmit. 69 years old and he gets around better than I do. Joker can climb a tree faster than a squirrel. I think Emmitt used to be in a hunting club with me up in Fayette County. We were in Bambi hunting club together. Does he live in Pickensville? Had throat cancer years ago I believe. Congrats on that fine buck! I know you were excited.  Yep that would be him Billy. I mentioned possibly having you do a skull mount and he said he used to be in a club with you. Emmitt Taylor. His last name came to me today.

Man, I had to knife one a few years ago to put her outta her pain. On way home from hunting one evening, running way too fast on the old hwy parralleling 565...got to the dumpster business on the south side of the road and see eyes up in front of me. There were 6 or 7 standing there in the road and i missed 5 or 6 of 'em. One i hit for sure, i believe she knocked every bit of mud loose from under my truck as she rattled underneath it. I stopped and heard her moving around in the grown up fence area. After several tense minutes of chasing her (she was broke up in her hip area), i was finally able to get a boot on her head and had to cut her throat. That was definitely diff than killin one with a bullet or broadhead.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.
