The doe I shot Saturday afternoon ducked more than I expected and I hit her high. It was a 45yd shot and she was already nervous from a limb or tree that fell just off the edge of the food plot. I hit her in the spine so as soon as she hit the ground I stuck another one in her.

Yeah....I thought she was a little further than she was. My son is in a stand to the 2 o'clock position from me about 60 yds away. He had already seen 2 nice rack bucks that were at 35 yds from him but too thick for shot. This deer came out and he CALLED ME ON THE PHONE lol...and wanted me to shoot so he could get it on video.

I did hit spine and it dropped immediately. I don't like it when they don't go quick. Lets just say Kaleb has taken quite a few by himself but had never seen anything like that. Learning experience of what to do.

Got it on video also. He was pumped

Yeah....that's my son Kaleb (15 in Dec).He got a pass on that due to he had 2 big bucks just outta his bow range and that's exactly what I said when it dropped. When he walked up to me in the plot he broke the news ahead of time that he may have dropped a bomb on video.

Congrats. I couldn't help but laugh at your son's response. Good thing there wasn't cell phone video when I was 15...people might not have thought I was so "sweet".
