That's a shot you need to practice. It's different for everyone because of their peep height. Some people will have to use a 30 to 35 yard pin. I can normally aim dead on with a 25 yard pin. BUT, a straight down shot isn't the best angle to be shooting one. And honestly, 30ft. is too high to be bowhunting. Shaw, my rope is 25 ft. I very rarely ever get my rope tight. I have practiced 20 ft up my tree but never as high as I am today. I had to because no cover Abd the edge of a firebreak. I am really scouting but never know when one will walk under you. If he does, I still have the opportunity for him to get out some ways. Wish I had a field point to shoot.
