The problem i see with some of these posts, is that your using ballistic tips. Winchester silver ballistic tips, aren't up to par with other ammo. I've used it, so has my son. Will it kill deer? Yes, but bloodtrails are spotty at best. It either dropped them in their tracks, or left spotty blood trails. We switched to Hornady SST ammo, and man what a difference. Ammo, not the rifle, is what makes the difference. Sometimes a deer just don't go down on impact. I think, alot of it has to do with hitting bone.
