I got my boys a little go kart to play around on out back of the house and on the land next door. I'm kicking around the idea of buying either a used 4Wheeler or a "Mini Buggy" for riding around with them. The Mini Buggys are essentially a 2WD tube frame side-by-side buggy with 150cc motor. Tractor Supply used to sell them and there's a few on Craigslist. I'm really just looking for a vehicle to play on while having some fun with them. Don't really need a 4Wheeler as we have a electric cart at the farm. The only thing about the buggies are that they aren't much good for anything but just riding around. I can either get a mid to late 90's 300-400cc Honda 4WD 4Wheeler or a 2-4 year old 150cc buggy for under $1000. The practical side of me is leaning towards the 4Wheeler because the depreciation is already gone at that price point and I wouldn't lose a dime if I decided to sell it a couple years down the road. However, with the side-by-side arrangement on the buggy, my wife could more easily ride with us, or my youngest son could ride with me while my oldest was in his go kart. Definitely more risk with a buggy as I know I'll have repairs and will want to modify it here and there. The good thing is that the engines are cheap (under $300 for a new one), but the bad thing is that they're built cheap to be essentially disposable, so I'm not sure how dependable it might be. Another thing is size. I'm 6'5", so these "adult" buggies might be a tight fit, and not very comfortable to ride for my size frame. No worries with that on a Fourtrax. Any of y'all have an adult sized buggy? What's the good/bad?

That's awesome! I ended up scoring a deal on an 05 Kodiak 4wd that has faded plastic but runs great. Perfect for a little project to fix it up and ride it.

I had one of those Kodiaks, the only problem is the front cv joints. And the squeaks!
