Shot a big eight at 5pm and didnt find my arrow and blood quit after 100 yards. makes me sick and you can forget about sleeping. i didnt bump him at all after giving him two hours before i went back to look for him.

Get a DOG on him.

If it was me and I didn't have to work, I'd still be in the woods looking for that joker.

I thought after we walked around where we lost blood the dog would lose the trail

not from a good blood trailing dog,they can find them 20 hours after the shot,and it pouring down rain,and you in there walking around.

A good dog will find it if it's dead or bay it if it's alive.

Where did you hit him? We had on brought in one year deer was about 6 years old by teeth He had 1 Broad head in his shoulder. its amazing what they can live through.

Shot one once with my bow arrow went through and hit opposite shoulder bleed like a stuck hog. 3 week later another hunter shot him chasing doe's.

Looks like the arrow hit a limb and made it hit high best i can tell. didnt bleed a drop after 100 yards. dog followed it 300-400 more still no blood not a speck. and he went back the way he came from on a trail full of rubs and scrapes. he also went up hills and never laid down so it doesnt look like a hit that he will die from. still sucks not to know for sure only time will tell cause i have walked myself to death today looking for him.

And he never did bleed alot to begin with.
