I got him this morning at 8 am as he was right behind a doe that came up the mountain. He would trot a few yards and stop. It is really thick where I was and I thought he was going to walk out of my life, but he stopped in a spot and gave me a small window and the 308 and Accubond did the rest. He went bulldozing down the mountain and piled up in sight. To say I am still beside myself is an understatement. What a year I have had. We taped him at 130 1/8. His mass really threw me off and pictures don't do him justice. I am tickled to have had a chance at such a wonderful creature.

I am really happy, but at the same time, I am sad to put an end to him. I have lost a lot of sleep trying to figure him out. I went 7 trips in a row hunting him and not seeing a single deer. The 8th one did it.
