Anyone hunt this land in New Hope? What's the regulations? Muzzle, bow, centerfield?

I hunted it a long time ago with some friends. I don't know if its changed but we used rifles on it.

Do you need to get a permit from the TVA, is there a check station? Do just walking hunt and walkout?

No permit required. Its open permit public land. Just come and go as you wish.

Ive hunted it for years. No permit needed, rifles are ok. There are some azzhats that moved in up there that think its there own little 4 wheeler track though. TVA laid off all there police so its kinda a free for all. The game wardens do an ok job but cant do enough. There are some good deer in there though. I have always done best at sunrise or sunset they are pretty nocturnal.

Just make sure you get a TVA map and stay on their land. Most folks think just because there is a river there they can hunt the edges..........NOT.
