Ive hunted it for years. No permit needed, rifles are ok. There are some azzhats that moved in up there that think its there own little 4 wheeler track though. TVA laid off all there police so its kinda a free for all. The game wardens do an ok job but cant do enough. There are some good deer in there though. I have always done best at sunrise or sunset they are pretty nocturnal.
It is what it is.

Just make sure you get a TVA map and stay on their land. Most folks think just because there is a river there they can hunt the edges..........NOT.
