When you rush for 300 frakkin' yards against UA, you can whup most anybody; and whup somebody is what AU did. Saban is the same as he's always been, an exceptionally competent tactician who is regimented to a fault; an offensive-oriented foe gets him on his heels and he can't recover and begins to make decisional errors. As for McCarron, it took that spoiled arrogant whiner exactly nine (9) seconds to get his arse off that field when AU stuffed him full of Eagle grease. What a sportsman.

Ah Seth, relax son. First, that tiger as my icon has jack squat to do with Auburn, or LSU, or any other sports team; so I'm not a "barner"; you errantly assumed that; but as a patient observer of all this, I welcome that honor. Your comment that blinders be removed and look at all the games...?...but, we're talking about this game; THE game; the game that was/is the worst that could possibly be for UA and her fandom; more on that in a bit. I concede that this post started with some measure of support for AU, but it dinna take long for it to turn to vinegar; and that vinegar flowed most freely from the moderator, Brent, as evidenced by his foot stomping, childish name-calling. I've read thru the great majority of all of these posts on this game; I can't find one post where an Auburn fan used the word "hate" to describe feelings toward UA or her fandom. I suppose such comments may be there; I've just not found them. Hate is a vile thing and whoever uses it frankly should be ashamed of themselves. UA and her fandom have MUCH to be proud; but this loss is as bad as can EVER be. On the cusp of a 4th Nat'l Championship, and three in a row, to be defeated by not just any team who started out unranked..but THE arch-rival, Auburn...is the worst that can be and we'll not see another in our lifetime. And Saban will never rub this stain off of him; never. And CBS, among others, assign this merit to some cosmic event, rather than an Auburn team who out-timed, out-played, and out-coached a team who could not adjust. I've lived in Alabama for most of my adult life, and we all ought to be able to be proud of our State's flagship university and her team(s)...UA...but that fanbase makes it a formidable and oft impossible tasking. UA fans feel an entitlement to championships; and the reactions post-game speak of themselves. I don't bet, but the odds are that this reply will get pulled or I'll get to go to time-out.

Lewzana its not about this one game,the game as you call it if you start comments like the one I pointed out. 300 yards rushing is a great game but in college ball means nothing about who you can beat. It just means ya had a good game. Maybe you haven't followed the SEC that long? And as a matter of fact about routing for the state I am pulling for auburn to win. If Alabama can't win it auburn is my second choice and ive lived here my entire life. So what are ya then. It assigns your intellectual capacity because your statement is unfounded and ignorant. As a mod I get tired of the BS insinuations that we use some sort of bias in moderating. When you or anyone else make insinuations like this I take it personally as one of the people that does the moderating and I will make comment toward anyone who is guilty of it. We had a problem with ONE person doing this before you ever signed up on this board and the situation was handled. As far as my username goes....I have been "parked" around here for a very long time....much longer than the 6 months you have been here. I do not post much in the sports forum because this forum contains the absolute most BS of any of them and I choose not to participate very much. As to what am I? Fair, I guess: Born in deep south Louisiana to French speaking parents; can trace my roots to 1717 to Fort Toulouse in Wetumpka, AL where my ancestor was posted; his last name, the same as mine, is listed there. I've lived in Alabama, save military deployments, for 28 years. I'm an American fan of college football and our SEC. I do not claim fandom to any one school (fault me, I guess); the only one who does is my grandson who wears AU stuff on nearly everything. I appreciate your reply.

You don't root for any particular team (even though your Grandson wears Au stuff all the time) but I bet you pull against UA due to the "spoiled arrogant whiner." Right? No your not a fan of any particular team.

If some hack from CBS thinks bammer is better than AU then so be it. They were not on Nov 30th...and the history books will reflect that. That is ultimately all that matters.

There was no foot stomping or name-calling unless one of you people is the child of Jan Brady and Rodney Dangerfield. I was laughing just like most of the auburn fans that post here regularly were. I'm not an internet tough guy that runs my mouth and hides behind my laptop waiting to ban someone or delete their posts. I've never banned anyone other than spammers and only deleted 3 posts ever in the football forum. 2 were mine and the other was a picture of a girl that had some comments from another forum on it that mentioned rape. But, if you would have read posts instead of accusing blindly you would know that. What a lot of you guys don't realize is that a lot of us know each other. I've been to 2 aldeer get-togethers in the last 3 weeks and I give people hell there too. 2 of the biggest auburn fans on this board are Facebook friends of mine and we actually have normal conversations outside this place. Tired of the accusations of Moderator bias in here. Several of us are bammer fans, but we don't moderate what anyone says except for one instance I can recall where a member threatened another members family. There is no hate coming from me as much as you would love to believe there is. I like to remind barners that they will never get national respect and barners like to remind me that bammer makes up NC's. It's all in fun except when a fair-weather fan shows up and wants to play mean with the rest of us.

It depends on how you define "best". If by best you mean most talented then I agree that Alabama has the most talented team this year. The thing about college football (and one reason I love it so) is that it takes more than talent to win. The "best" team doesn't always win. The team that plays the best that game wins.
