Two weeks ago I had cows follow me into the woods, watch me climb a tree and then surround me and bed down. I did not see any deer.
I will tell you this, if you are dragging a deer across a field and cows start smelling the blood they will run at you and try to trample & kill you. I had this happen to me and I learned to avoid the cows.
I don't particularly like cows.
