The processor that we use in Marshall County and another one in Madison C have County have had approximately 400 and 500 deer respectively brought in to date. Last year at this time their respective #s were approximately 600 and 800.
Just wondering if other processors are seeing similar #s and wondering why the big drop

Ive heard it is down last year because of the colder weather.(more) harder to get out of bed.

An economist would want to know if all other factors are the same. Are their prices the same as last year? If the price has gone up, that would account for part of the drop. Have leases in that area gone up? That could also mean fewer people hunting. This data alone can't be construed as fewer deer in the area.

My $.02 Yep, except multiply it by the number of years they've been open from day 1 through the end of season. This has been a rough year for deer killing too, not just deer seeing for some reason. We've got 1300 acres and 6 hunters in our lease. It's in Blount county. The first buck of the year was killed TODAY. A big 6 point. I don't think it's EHD, it may be corn piles.

Wiley, Comparing Game Check's reports to the total deer killed in prior seasons as shown on the DCNR's annual reports, there has only been approx. 5.5% of the usual total number of deer killed so far this season. Republican appointees to the Advisory Board are obviously decimating our whitetail deer resources with their forbidden legislation.

I know you're saying this tongue- in cheek, but with as many people on here that said they would "voluntarily" report their harvest, I figured more deer would be reported.
