A guy I work with lives up in the Chattanooga area. He said he just filled up his tank at home and it was $1300. I don't know how big a home tank is but I would guess 250g?

Unfortunately, no. And $1300 would be about right if he was close to empty and they put 200+ gal in.

Bentley declared an emergency last week which would make it illegal to gouge and allow you to use any supplier regardless of who you are currently using. These A-holes need to be reported as gougers!!! They say the price is raised to keep people from buying too much while it is in short supply. The gas cost them no more to produce it than before. People have to have gas for heat so just limit the amount they purchase instead of getting rich at the expense of the elderly.

We could only get 1 tanker 12,000 gallons delivered last week and that had to be split between 2 farms. My 6,000 gallons put me at 26% on my gauge, I'm using 300 gallons a day at this farm and am down to 15 1/2 % this morning. It will be the middle of next week before we can get another tanker delivered because the company we buy from has been put on rations from their supplier.

The Obama administration has been asked by several States to “examine current propane market forces” and consider restricting propane exports to ensure there is enough propane available to serve domestic needs.

Propane prices typically are around $2 a gallon. They rose to $3.50 and peaked at more than $5 last week. That increase could increase the cost of filling a 500-gallon tank by more than $1,000.

Country Gas...or whomever bought them out. I've never spent $750 in a year for my propane..much less to get 1/2 a tank. That was a tough pill to swallow. I may have to check into one of those outside wood furnace things. Plenty of firewood at the house and i gots a fairly strong back. wink

Clark gas in Moulton,Al. Is 3.99 a gallon. + Tax = $430 for 100 gallons. And 100 gallons is max you can get. They said price should go back down in 3 weeks.

Tri-Cities Gas in the Shoals area charged my mother-in-law $4.02 per gallon about a week ago. Want to feel like you've been kicked in the groin...I've got a 500 gallon tank, do the math on that:(

We get an industrial discount at the shop and I got 150 gallons last week and it was $2.84 per gallon. It was 4 days before we got it delivered.

uhaul does have the best price if you have portable tanks. they only charge by how much they add and not a flat fee like country gas. after getting a bunch of the 100 lb cylinders filled ive found County gas was almost double.

My cousin has six chicken houses. Propane went from less than two dollars a gallon a few weeks back to nearly 4. He is hurting right now. HE has to buy a lot every week.
