My eleven year old half-brother had a heck of season, and the extended season ended up really paying off for him on the 7th! He moved up from a single shot .223 to his new model 700 left hand youth in 7-08 at Christmas and moved up on the size of his bucks as well. The top picture is a young eight point that made the mistake of walking out in front of him at the beginning of gun season to eat acorns from a huge white oak we have in a patch! The stud in the other two pictures is a old eight that came from the same patch and was the only deer they saw that day, my stepdad said he came in around 5:15 and was feeding, he said he jokingly asked my little brother if he was to nervous and if he just wanted him to shoot! He was told real fast that he must be crazy!!! From the way I hear it I'm not sure which one of them were more nervous! He's right at 21" on the inside and weighed a tad over 200lbs, a great buck for anyone. I do believe we have him hooked now though!!!
