I don't buy anything from BPS. After they turned away those folks a couple weeks ago that done it for me. The folks at the gun counter don't know their ass from a hole in the wall. And,as stated, are rude most of the time. Those stores are tourist traps. I'll keep doing business with Cabela's.

Yeah i was looking at the browning abolt ll in the 243 and he was telling me that that round should be outlawed ....and my wife told him that she kills them with a 243. Regardless i went in to buy a climber, an Abolt ll, and decent scope. But i will take my business elsewhere....simmons have always treated me good....

What about when the pin comes out 30' up a tree? Does that not count?

I'd hunt from the ground if an Ole man was the only Treestand I had.

You would have to be a dumbass to knock the pin out

You should look at the date of that article..

Fwiw I won't hunt out of any stand but an ol'man. You could probably get that rifle for much much cheaper from budsgunshop.com

All I own is ole mans but any of them can be dangerous... I've hunted out of others and far as the most comfortable one was a tree lounge but rough taking them in and out....practice makes perfect with any climber and safety belt/harness a must I don't like them a whole lot but always use one every time I go.

I've had an ol man for the past 10-12 years. No problems out of it. Hopper, if the numbers in your handle signify your zip code then you should give simmons a try. The last 5+ guns I have bought have been from them. I try to find a cheaper deal at other places, but haven't yet. Also, simmons will work with you on price, throw in extras (free scope mounts, bullets etc) to make a sale. They are good people!

An Ol'man won't let you down? HUH? Well, it almost did when I was approx 25' up. I hate OM climbers and yes, I'd rather hunt from the ground than ever use one again!!!!

Anything can happen, no matter what climber you have. Don't discount all Ol' man climbers! What exactly happened though?

You can email Ol' man and they will send you the new updated pins.

What was wrong with the old pins. Use to have one that had the locking pins. Bought a new one and it had the pins that had the screw on knobs. I'd rather have the old locking pin ones.
