Killed a 2 and a half year old with 14 on his head in a cutover several years ago made me sick when i got to him that deer would have easily been in the 160's a couple years later . I had a similar experience with a 12 point. If I had been thinking, I would have whistled or grunted to get him to turn so I could see the spread. As it was, he had his nose glued to a doe's rump, and all I could see was a forest of points. Turned out to be one I had previously let walk. It taught me a very valuable lesson in patience and self-control.
