You're probably right. I tend to be overly cautious to make sure I don't miss any opportunities. As it is, they don't come around often enough, so blowing one for any reason is unacceptable to me.

Thanks for the input guys. It looks like I can safely add one without that worry. I'll post pics when I get it!!

A deer won't notice a rifle you are not swinging around no matter the color.

That is not true in my case anyway. 2 seasons ago a had a big 8 point standing 40yds from my truck. I hit the power window and he turned inside out smile I bet he's still running laugh

I went through this about 5 years ago after already killing about 35 with my stainless gun.....If it bothers you just do like i did and camo tape it until you het out of that paranoia....you can always remove and clean up the barrel...that's the great part about stainless....hard to harm

All I hunt with are stainless guns. I have never had a problem. I have however, recently purchased and installed a camo wrap from Mossy Oak. Relatively easy to install and cost roughly $35. If you want to take it off, you heat it up, peal it off and it leaves no residue.

Not shiny at all, I would worry more about the glossy finish on wood than stainless

I always thought a stainless gun looked like a spinner bait coming through the woods.
