The first longbeard I killed by myself had a 1 5/16" on one leg and 1 3/8" on he other. Been mostly downhill ever since on the spur front.

I called the big Eastern bird up and tried my best to get my buddy to shoot it, but he couldn't get turned. I shot it as it finally walked off.....

I killed a 1 1/2" and 1 7/16" at our camp in Dallas county 2 years ago about a 1/4 mile apart within a week. Biggest Rio was 1 3/8"

1 7/16" is the best I've ever killed and that was last year. Been trying for 20 years to kill a turkey with 1.5" spurs.
