1-1/8" - my one and only bird since I've started 4 years ago It'll get better man. Make sure you aren't doing the same things over and over and making the same mistakes. It'll click. My biggest are 1 3/8. My dad and I hadn't been hunting turkeys to long. We walked out on a road just after daylight and made a few calls. Hadn't heard anything and were standing there trying to decide what to do. We look up and this dang turkey comes running around the bend about 100 from us. All we could do was stand and watch him lock up the brakes and pitch out. Knew where he went so we eased out to the gas line he landed on. Sat and waited him out for an hour or so and got up to leave and the bastard pitched up off the ground not 20 yards behind us! It didn't work out well for him.
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...
