Oddly enough, the D went from 10 points allowed per game to 13.9 per game.

And just who runs the D????

Our coaches also did a terrible job being creative on offense. The defense wasn't as good as past Bama teams, but it was good enough to win. But when you've got a 6'7 tight end that can outrun anybody and you've got a beast like Derrek Henry on the sidelines and you've got a Senior QB who's won back to back national championships, there's no excuse for the lack of production on offense. That's why certain coordinators aren't around anymore.

The defense did enough most games to keep Bama in the games. The offensive issues weren't necessarily the point production as much as it was the inconsistency. Unable to convert on short 3rd downs, dealing with long 3rd downs and etc. Had the Bama Offense been able to convert a short 4th and 1 in scoring distance at Auburn, everyone would be talking about Bama going for another NC.

With these "Newer Offenses" the better way to combat them is to have a consistent offense that can run at will. Sure completely shutting them down with defense would be ideal, but its almost unfeasible at times. This Bama team should have been able to line it up and run down anyones throat. They couldn't and with the offensive talent they have, that's a major Offensive issue. I look forward to that being improved this upcoming season.
