Now would be a good time to quit.
My names Brandon and I'm a addict.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I told her I know I have a problem but it doesn't bother me. For me the best way to solve a problem is to get rid of it and after I kill all those problem turkeys u will be done. She gave me that strange air head look and shook her head. She just don't understand.

I started my wife turkey hunting many years ago. The ONLY time she gets up and moving quickly in on turkey hunting mornings. If I'm sick or working she goes by herself.... TWO addicts is better than just one.....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I sat my wife down in 1974 and explained to her that I would lose my mind every spring, and if she couldn't live with that, then don't marry me. She went thru with it, but I still have to occasionally remind her that she was warned before the wedding.
I can't believe what some of the younger guys post on here, like "I gotta ask my wife/gf if I can go." I seldom comment on such threads; just shake my head and move on.
And the poor guys that don't know any better than to schedule a wedding during hunting season are the worst. Weddings should take place in either August or February. If you schedule it any other month, your life is already ruined and you just don't know it yet.

If you schedule it any other month, your life is already ruined and you just don't know it yet. PCP I done the same thing 2001 but I also covered deer and turkey hunting. I basically said I would be totally useless 8 months out of the year. I explained very clearly that 4 months out of the year would be 100% her time to do with me as she wished. She agreed to marry me and have been happily married 13 years this month. They dont make many models like her off the assembly line because she is the only one I have ever met that could handle my job and hunting addiction. I also cant believe some of these younger guys that have to ask permission. I made it very clear to my wife before we married there would be no such thing happening in our marriage. We would discuss my plans and if there was an issue with those plans there would be further discussion and compromise. No issue, no further discussion!! Yes, I agreed to get married March 17th but it was before the DNR changed the season to the 15th. We were poor back then so I didnt have to worry about going on a big honey moon. We still go out on a anniversary date the day of if Im home from work but anything bigger than that I have a pass to make up after turkey season closes.

When we were dating, I was pretty hard to get along with. My buddies and I were either hunting or fishing all the time. During duck season I was workin at a hunting camp as a guide. A bunch of my buddies had camps around us and after hunt I would go what we called camp hoping and drink all afternoon and most of the night. I may be gone weeks at a time out in the marsh. Me being gone didnt bother as much as all the drinkin and runnin round in the boats all hours of the night drunk. Well as time went on she started getting real upset with my hunting and fishing and that I would not spend time with her. Times were bad for her. When we decided to get married she asked me if I would slow down on my hunting and fishing and drinking. I told her she had to make a decision, Either I hunt and fish or I drink and needed to know which she wanted. She chose hunting and fishing. I don't duck hunt anymore and very seldom fish without them. She never complains about me deer hunting or goin to camp in alabama. Now she gets concerned that if I don't go huntin if something is wrong with me. Oh ya got married on June 27 between huntin season and rice harvest season. Lol
