Just had mine and got back home. Wonderful timing,as turkey season starts this weekend. I can't catch a break. Missed all of January hunting and now this. Oh well it could always be worse.

Buddy of mine just had that done. Just wait till you start blowing all that mess out in a day or so. Unbelievably nasty and very painful. He is a big ex pro football player and he said when he sneezed he sat in the floor and cried. Have they started pulling out all the packing yet? Best of luck with it.

When they pull the packing out its amazing how much of that stuff they can get up in there. It also makes you feel like your a lawnmower.lol they grab and yank and all of a sudden you feel like you could run a country mile.I had sinus reconstruction in 91.

In February I had a septum reconstruction and turbulent reduction. I would do it again in a heartbeat although it probably is not near as bad as sinus surgery. I didn't have packing but I had a splint in each nostril that was clear thin plastic and egg shaped and a little bigger than a golf ball. I felt like a dog on a leash when the doc pulled them out.

I feel for you man. When they go pulling the packing out its pretty awful. If you have the supports stitched through your septum it's by far the worst when the take that off though. Good luck to you. It is nice when it's all said and done

Do it as a last resort. Sucks big time and doesn't always make a difference.

The last one I had they didn't even pack it. The first one I had done they packed it with a disolvable gauze. And was hunting within 3 days so you may be fine to go hunting Saturday depending how extensive the surgery was.

I had a scab bust loose about two weeks after my surgery that was so large it wouldn't blow out of my nose. It got stuck and I had to pull it the rest of the way. I mean it was a big sucker.

Expect this for sure. I would be a rich man if they were gold nuggets that came out.

I had it last Feb. and it wasn't that bad. The worst part was the 3 follow up visits where the doc pulled the scabs out. I breathe a lot better now. Saline rinses daily help too.

I had it 10yrs ago and sounds like I'm lucky. It worked with no problems and fixed chronic infections.
