She said she would really like to meet that guy who spells backwards who sent me all those turkey calls. Said its the most annoying sound she ever heard. She can't hold the calls against me, they sound good when I run them. I can't believe it's taken me this long to realize what the heck his name meant.

And the poor guys that don't know any better than to schedule a wedding during hunting season are the worst. Weddings should take place in either August or February. If you schedule it any other month, your life is already ruined and you just don't know it yet.
Got married February 8th. That's wasn't a randomly picked date. Trust me. Dr. B

My wife and I had the talk before we got married too. Every once in a while she will gripe a little and I always tell her she knew how I was before we got married. Overall all though she is awesome about it and I can't complain a bit. I used to do too much. I deer and turkey hunted almost everyday of the season, fished a few tournaments a week and usually practiced the other days, I played golf and men's softball as well. I've really cut back in the last couple years though. I still don't miss many days of deer and Gurkey season but have really slacked off on the rest.

I sat my wife down in 1974 and explained to her that I would lose my mind every spring, and if she couldn't live with that, then don't marry me. She went thru with it, but I still have to occasionally remind her that she was warned before the wedding.
I can't believe what some of the younger guys post on here, like "I gotta ask my wife/gf if I can go." I seldom comment on such threads; just shake my head and move on.

For the first time in a long while my wife looked at me ther other day and said, "I just don't understand it. You've lost your damn mind. The season hasn't even started", as I told her I was going scouting/listening for about the 5th time in a week. Mine also doesn't understand why I go to listen before season starts

NWTF convention, scouting, patterning the guns, working new chokes/loads, getting cameras out, working on your TAV, on and on. I would see if she wouldn't mind you celebrating your anniversary in July.

I told my wife when we started dating from September through April she wouldn't see me much unless she went hunting. She does from time to time but she's too damn lazy most of the time.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I dated many a women that left me either mid November...or mid April.... When I dated one for over a five years that didn't leave..... I married her... If she wasn't leaving by then....she was a keeper... And rarely says a word about my hunting..... When she does.... Guess I'll be single again....

My wife knows that she can ask me to do whatever she wants any other month of the year and I will more than likely go along....but turkey season is out. We got married, had kids, went on dates, went to other weddings, bought a house, do everything around turkey season. We don't even go on dates during turkey season so I can get up early and won't be tired, Season is to short to be wasting it on getting married and stuff.... IMO getting married during turkey season is like getting herpes, it just keeps on giving.
