This I think is my 2000 post. I havent read the discussion on here> Some gws are for it some are not. I am totally 100 percent against against against consolidation. Would be the worst thing ever for the resource and its user group. PERIOD!!!

If it affects the environment it affects the wildlife and fishes too!

It's already happening and will !! I don't like it either, but it's too late.

Must be some kind of cost saving effort that will end up costing us more. But, if it means a raise for the GW's, I'd reconsider.

I don't care for it myself and like you said it will hurt more than help. Y'all will be forced to assist with other operations than what your main agenda should be game and fish. How did your season wind up? We had a great February to me.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

They did it here in Florida over a decade ago and most other states have done it as well. Smaller, more efficient government is a good thing for us taxpayers.
GW here are cross trained for the woods, freshwater, and marine patrol and enforcement. FWC also consolidated wildlife, freshwater fisheries, and marine fisheries which saved taxpayers money as well. The management level positions were eliminated because all of these agencies are run by the same people instead of three separate groups.

Game Wardens are not funded by tax payers. General tax fund does not support wildlife conservation. Pittman Robertson and license sales does. It will die and be done with. Huge huge mistake. fIf it passed then game wardens would be paid with tax payer money, which would not save the state anything. It would cost the state over 30 million.

Matt

There seem to be a quite a few GW's for it though. I assume they were given some "misinformation" about how it would benefit them.
