I bought a lead sled last fall and sighted my rifles in with it, never used it with 3.5.... I will be using it in a few weeks to make sure everythings good to go. I like the sled... Maybe no headaches this time That's the only way to go when patterning a 3 1/2 in Magnum shotgun. Who notices the difference on recoil anyway? You pull the trigger and you don't even know you took the recoil because you are wrapped up in the moment and all attention is focused on the animal.

I got to remember to use these ![laugh laugh](/forum/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif) more often. The 3" Winchester Supreme #5 has been my favorite turkey load for a long time. It also patterns very well through .665 choke on my Benelli. I did shoot a few 3 1/2's when I first got the gun, just to see how they patterned, and I absolutely noticed the difference in the recoil. I probably wouldn't notice at all, when shooting at a turkey, but they were not fun to shoot at paper.

>>>I got to remember to use these more often.<<< I knew you were joking around, but I also know you can take it. ![wink wink](/forum/images/graemlins/default/wink.gif) Winchester Supremes let you know they are there when you fire one, no matter whether they are 3.5, 3, or even 2.75. My 3.5 handload doesn't kick near as bad as even the 3. You still couldn't pay me to shoot that .500 even once. Well, maybe at some price I would, but it wouldn't come cheap. ![wink wink](/forum/images/graemlins/default/wink.gif)

But, honestly it ain't that bad, with the ported barrel and 350 grain XTP's, it isn't much worse than my Redhawk. Maybe one day, you can teach me how to kill an educated turkey and I'll let you shoot the 500. ![smile smile](/forum/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif)
