I stopped, walked up and introduced myself and asked where they were going. We told either other our general areas, wished each other luck, and hit the woods. Thats public land hunting.
Translation: "I introduced myself, listened to where they were going to confirm it was not my spot, then lied about my spot so they wouldn't know it!"
