I don't usually hunt where other vehicles are parked unless I know who it is and where they are, but I don't care if another hunter walks in on me they have just as much rights to the land as I do and if I was bothered by it I would join a club or buy more land. Most of the time I make a new friend and it's good to know a lot of hunters especially if you need a hand in the woods. I bet a quarter of the vehicles in Bankhead are left there to keep others out, I have a lot of family that does this and know of many others it's a common practice.
no offense but to me thats as unethical or poor etiquette as parking and getting out where someone else already is. Hence again..the problem with public land hunting. No etiquette or respect.
Why do you think they leave their trucks? I would guess so noone else would hunt there.
Thats like putting a pin in a hunting club sign out board if youre not going there. Any club Ive been in..it gets you kicked out immediately.
I don't think anyone is talking about hunting clubs...they're talking about public land.
Actually that post was about leaving vehicles parked where someone wasnt even hunting. Its called a COMPARISION.
You're trying to compare apples to oranges. The way you try to explain it makes people believe you think that if a vehicle is left unattended at a spot that they are not actually hunting, they shouldn't be allowed to hunt there anymore. This is public land not private land! If you don't like it go lease your own land. Oh wait....you have already stated that you don't hunt public land at least 575 times....
wow really? I thought your brother was the dumb one?..I guess it is a genetical thing! The OP was about public land respect and etiquette. The way you are supposed to act on public land so it is safe and fun to hunt.
Go read back in the post before you come in here obviously just trying to stir up chit.
Go back and read the WRITTEN rules MOST people follow hunting public land.
The way I explained it stated that it was UNETHICAL and similiar to putting a pin in a club board and not hunting there.
I realize that your genetically challenged and your reading comprehension might now be up to par.
Go back and read the thread a few times..you might get it.
Was that the best you could do? Where are these WRITTEN rules that you're referring to?
LOL..really.
GO B A C K and R E A D! they are posted..even from Alabama Fish and Game magazine, as well as a few other sources.
Obviously you dont practice them...again based on your reading comprehension..or lack there of.
OR...Go look on the internet.
Enter PUBLIC LAND TURKEY hunting etiquette.
Try to spell it right..or if thats too challenging just cut and paste where I typed it.
To do that..pull your mouse across the words..and they will be highlighted.
Then..left klik on them.
Hit where it says COPY...and the go up to your browser..double klik your left mouse control and klik where it says PASTE.
Hit enter...and presto...up pops a dozen examples. Read them..or have someone read them to you if it is too hard.
Learn them..live them...love them!
Thanks!
