As a side note, I have lost a LOT of shrubbery around my house. Some complete kills and a whole lot of burn backs. With the exception of some green leaves at the bottoms, my tea olives look like they've been sprayed with agent orange.

I think both of my fig bushes are dead too.


I don't know Fur. I left the stump to see but the tree may have ran its course. Up until three years ago the tree produce over or around a thousand pieces of grape fruit annually. Dropped down to around 500 two years ago and less than 120 when I picked it in early December.

I talked to some citrus farmers in Lakeland Florida area and they told me it wasn't uncommon for a tree to bear fruit for as long as fifty years or longer in the right climate of course. So I guess having it in Montgomery for twenty five wasn't bad.
