I'm confused about how people like me who believe in the Bible are considered "biggots" by not agreeing with this guy's lifestyle. Our country has gotten so weak and politically correct that one group (a small group of homosexuals) can openly speak their views but when I stand behind mine, I'm considered insensitive or a monster.

The Book I read from hasn't changed. I think he should get a chance to play football if he's good enough. But our country shouldn't accept this lifestyle (the Good Book calls it SIN) as if it's normal. And I shouldn't be considered an awful person for thinking that way. God wrote it, not me….

I feel bad for the guy. He is about to experience a little bit of what Jackie Robinson went through over 50 years ago. With social media these days, it may actually be worse.

I'm obviously in the minority on this board with my opinion, but I think gay people are simply born that way. Just as straight people are born straight, gay people are born gay.

I don't ever remember choosing to be straight and I don't make the choice to be attracted to women each day. It's just the way I was born.

It was staged, planned and part of an agenda. That said, I don't believe anyone should be mistreated no matter their sexual preference. I too believe that some gay people are born with those preferences but I also believe that some people are born with stronger sex drives that, unchecked might lead to rape. I believe some people are born with tempers that, unchecked, might lead to murder. Just because you are born with a tendency doesn't mean you have to act on it. The Bible is clear on the issue but those who would cast stones need to remember that the bible is also clear in the commandment to love our neighbor. The homosexual has access to the same salvation an adulterer has.

I also agree with you on this. I could tell the gay guys from the straight guys by the 10th grade, but there were a few that got by me that were head scratchers. I'm got going to feel sorry for the ridicule he my get though. You can keep it on the DL and still take care of business. No need for distractions. I'm not upset he came outta the closet because that has to be a tough thing to do, I'm upset at the media for sensationalizing it and making it sound like half the population is gay or ok with it, and that's just not the case. If you disagree you are some kind of homophobic caveman. It's an oddity and always will be in my mind. Is beastiality or phedophelia going to be ok in a decade because these people were born that way? It just opens up Pandora's box.

Yes, pedophiles are born that way as well. It's as intrinsic as the next person's heterosexuality. It is a deep-rooted predisposition that becomes clear during puberty and does not change.

Obviously, molesting and/or raping children is totally different than two consenting adults and pedophiles that act upon their desires will never be accepted in a civil society.

We're all born sinners, I would agree with that. We all struggle with some particular sin, most of us struggle with the same one over and over and over. But to say this is natural and acceptable goes against everything in the Bible and that makes it wrong regardless of any other argument you want to bring up.
