Deer defoliated a young pecan tree once. Who would have thought they would eat a pecan tree? It lived but it set it back about a year compared to the other trees.

Also rubbed a pear tree about 12 years ago and that thing seems to get more crooked every year.

Lots of my stuff has a cage now too!

laugh I looked them up last night and never did see an answer to why they are named "everbearing." One thing I did find as strange is that most sites consider them to be the same thing as a brown turkey fig.

Ours are partially alive. Some of the trunks didn't put out and some of them did. At any rate, they'll be no figs this year.

Mine are leafing out from the main trunks and a few limbs now. Plenty of shoots coming up from the roots ill need to trim away. No figs this year it looks like but should be good next year.
