What are the things you have learn as a bow hunter ..? One thing I do is tie a piece of dental floss to my stabilizer for a wind indicator ..
I recently learned if your peep sight is turned in your string you can slide the string silencer up or down and it rolls your peep ..

I try to set up my shots on the left hand side but I often like to set up my stands to have the sun come up on my back and I make sure the trail that they travel gives me little chance of making a quartering towards me shot. Made that mistake once. Not again. I often like to cut funnels to push deer around through a spot. I like to carry a few field points and my practice head in my quiver incase I bump my bow. One shot to test if it's off and one shot to test my adjustment.

Each time after shooting your arrows flex them a little and visually inspect your knocks. If there is a crack or broken bond in the carbon you will most likely feel it when you flex them. With Aluminum and ACCs arrows slide your fingers down the arrow and feel for dinks in the metal. This may save you from a broken arrow through the hand, wrist or forearm.

Always carry a spare release in your bag in case you leave yours in the truck or at the house.

If your peep does not rotate exactly right at full draw you can often rotate your d loop to help straighten it out.

PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL, if it can go wrong it will go wrong bow huntin'. 10-4 on that one. These aren't tricks but just some things I have learned the hard way. -Always shoot your broad heads to make sure they have the some poi as the practice tips. -Practice from time to time with the same clothes you will be wearing hunting including gloves. -Practice from an elevated stand. It can be different from shooting on flat ground. -Practice out of your ground blind if you will be hunting out of one. -Make sure your ladder stands don't squeak or make noise when you move. Nylon washers can help. -When a deer is approaching you must be "stealth like". If you can see the deer's eye it can see you. If possible I wait until the deer's head goes behind a tree or until it is facing the opposite direction before I move.

Keep your bow in hand and stand as much as possible. Bow hangers and comfortable stands cause more missed shots than anything else.

How long can u guys stand? I find more difficult to be still if I'm standing. If I'm in my lone wolf climber or a hang on I will shoot sitting if possible.
