So that's why your name is Gobbler! You are a master! I'd alos like to know how to do the borax and laquer stuff. Never tried, but my beards are still together, spurs are on a string but not near as many as you! I'm inspired, now I have a goal!

I cut the leg bones twice on either side of the spur and then "skin" the scales off the bone (couple months later). After the bone is dry and clean, I just spray it with spar urethane and dry. Leather shoestring just slips through the bone hole.

Beards are brought home, if dried out I wet them again so the butt is soft then coat the butt with borax and let dry. Borax dessicates the meat so no bugs get into it. Once glued into the shell base there is no place for bugs or anything to get to. Have some up there that are 25 years!

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine
