This is probably the wrong place to post this, but I figured there might be someone on here who can point me to an electrician that works on older jeeps. I have a 90 YJ THAT IS GIVING ME ELECTRICAL FITS (3 new batteries in 3 months) and it won’t hold a charge. Any suggestions of someone reasonable to take it to? I am at my wits end!!! Thanks

It would help if you edited your title.

Do you have any after market accessories lights or radio on it? That’s where I’d start, after I checked the alternator.

Parasitic drains are fun to hunt down. With the key turned off ,disconnect one of the battery cables and hook up a good 12 v test between the cable end and the pos. post. The light should be on. Start pulling fuses. When the light goes out ,you have found the circuit with the draw. This gives you a place to start. On some newer cars ,it takes as long as 45 mins. for the computers to go to sleep. You need a wiring diagram ,volt meter and a test light. Can be something as simple as a penny in a lighter socket or leaking diodes in alt. Good luck

It does have several add on accessories.....LED light bar, winch, etc. I was hoping BEBCO was still open, but hoping I could find a reputable shop to run this down for me, or it will sit in my driveway for months. Plus my wife want us to use it while the weather is nice

Plus my wife want us to use it while the weather is nice I'd start looking there. Most folks have no idea what they are doing when they start hooking stuff up. Just because you got 12V power doesn't mean it's coming from where you want, when you want.

So what do I do if I identify which circuit is causing the voltage leak?
