Had two letters come in the mail today wanting to know if I wanted to sell mine. WTF? I get letters almost daily wanting to buy my "vacant" land. One piece of land weve spent 4yrs building an orchard. The other roperty wehave built a road across it, planted an acre and a half of blackberries and blueberries and are currently building a 40x50 barn there. That word "vacant" kinda sticks in my craw. Sounds like its just unused land sitting there but my wife and i have been working ourselves half to death for years to get it where it is. I find it pretty offensive. I wouldnt sell them my land for any amount of money. Im not too friendly when they call either. Yeah, I haven't even had mine for a whole year. Once I build my cabin, aw hell no I ain't selling.

I think there’s a big change coming with planting techniques and the need for soil building and health. It’s needed too. Yep.....its changing but slooooowly.......My boys turn 15 this summer......I started the first "Testing in Progress" thread back on the old QDMA forum when they were babies.....I think the $$$ is what's held it up the most......There's a lot of money tied in to doing things the conventional way that folks will have to adapt to if more folks start going the regenerative route. I figured food plotters would be a lot further along now than they are but again there's been quite a lot of resistance to the change People in general do not like change.

They started cutting hay around here first of the week. Almost every field next to a mtn has at least one hen wandering around. I saw one field with 3 hens all about 75 yards apart just standing there watching tractor. Did notice a strutting tom in same field next day with a hen.

At our club we have seen a hen with poults that is followed by a strutter. Kinda crazy. I saw them today in the powerline. They were all at the edge under a limb in the shade and he was strutting his tail off.
