That would be my dad! Only modern camo he wears is what was given to him. He'll be the first to tellet somebody that camo is designed for hunters not to hide from ddeer He's right about that I've killed just as many deer wearing carhartt pants and carhartt jacket than I have in full camo. Only reason I wear camo is because it keeps me from ruining my other clothes and all my cold weather stuff is camo

I could care less. I used to hunt with a bunch of guys who were hardcore bow hunters. They touted, '' anybody can a kill one with gun ''. Really???? They thought their shite didn't stink because they had their 1000 dollar bow and 500 dollar arras!!!, and painted their face up like they were a commercial for cool outdoor channel tv. I've killed over 40 deer with a bow, hell, I killed 11 one year before gun season opened, but I never thought I was '' cool '' because I bow hunted. Those bow hunters made sure they advertised they didn't think anybody in the club should hunt with a rifle or muzzlelaoder, it wasn't a challenge, and .......... if somebody shot a deer with a gun they had '' scouted for" and '' hunted for" with their bow and arra. I last killed a deer with a bow, in I think 2002. Bow season to me, is 1 FULL month of the year before deer season opens for the '' bow hunters '', to '' scout '' , meaning walk all over 5000 f'ing acres before gun season opens and let every deer on said 5000 acres know for a fact deer season is IN. Sir:I take exception to your profane reference to God in your post. While I respect your freedom of speech, surely you can take the time to come up with a better choice of words. Thanks

My favorite thing about the crossbow debate was the bowhunters who cried because the crossbows range was much greater than a compound and the deer herd was going to be decimated. After a year or 2 when they realized that that wasn't the case, they changed their crybaby argument to, "Well I just didn't like the way the legalization of crossbows was forced on us."

Since I am a member, can't I read every thread and also express my opinion? Seems like that is what 70% of this site is about. Secondly, I was taught to never defame my God. First off I am a bow hunter. I would rather bow hunt than anything. With that being said here's a question for the crossbow bashers. Say you have found a spot that is loaded with deer. You put up a camera and get an old bruiser on film. Area is to thick to gun hunt and is not allowed. With it being so thick it's almost impossible to climb over 6 or 8 feet which makes it almost impossible to bow hunt. So, do you not hunt the old bruiser or do you pick up a crossbow and go after him? I have literally never in my life seen an area that is too thick to hunt with any weapon. Too thick to gun hunt? who made that up?

I've never seen so much hate directed towards people who choose to hunt with a crossbow instead of a compound. It's just ridiculous and a very eilitist attitude. By the way I shot a crossbiw for the first time this afternoon and I think I'm going to go in the morning. Tatsoul showed me how to make 100 yard shots. Roll Tide.  Idiots, plain and simple. The same folks we can't count on when it comes to providing a unified front of hunters against the antis. I'd venture to guess those dissing crossbows are jealous and ignorant. It's a shame that hunters can't come together for the common good. If you don't respect the sport and aren't willing to support and protect it, then get out and leave it to those that do. And shut yer pie holes. Nobody wants to hear that nonsense. PETA has meetings you can join, lol. Note: I'm a rifle hunter myself, don't own a bow or crossbow but I support those that do 100%! Judging from your liberal posts in the past, I would have figured you for something like this. There isn't some rule out there that says everyone has to agree on the details, to have the same cause.
