I've got all that fancy stuff! And killed enough deer with my compound that it doesn't do anything for me anymore. I say fancy... I have a parker featherweight that I bought new in 1998. Its quiet shoots excellent and I haven't adjusted the sights since 2000! It's like a rifle, I pick it up and wherever the pin is the arrow goes! I've also killed a many deer with traditional archery as well. More challenging and I think it makes me a better hunter. I use to get so pissed off when I would miss by an inch or two with my compound and now as long as I put an arrow within 6 inches of where I'm aiming I'm tickled pink!

You have the right to be a crossbow basher so long as you lump crossbows and compound bows into the same category.

Then it's okay lol. I think I'm going to start discriminating on anyone who wears camo hunting. If you aren't in a red and black checkered flannel then you should get your prius out the woods rofl

He's right about that I've killed just as many deer wearing carhartt pants and carhartt jacket than I have in full camo. Only reason I wear camo is because it keeps me from ruining my other clothes and all my cold weather stuff is camo

My favorite thing about the crossbow debate was the bowhunters who cried because the crossbows range was much greater than a compound and the deer herd was going to be decimated. After a year or 2 when they realized that that wasn't the case, they changed their crybaby argument to, "Well I just didn't like the way the legalization of crossbows was forced on us."

I woke up this morning and like all the other mornings before, crossbow hunters was the furthest thing from my mind.

Now I is one.

As a result of reading this thread, I bought a crossbow this morning and will be in the woods this coming weekend. Thanks again bow hunters!

He edited it out of the quote. Wadenthebushes, if you think you're going to be allowed to troll the site and call folks out like that, you won't be around here long.

Gentlemen, please scroll back and reread MorningAir's original post. Not my edited version of it. I say again... A poor choice of words.

Shaw--plesae define "troll" for me. Since I am a member, can't I read every thread and also express my opinion? Seems like that is what 70% of this site is about.

Secondly, I was taught to never defame my God. And I stand up for that belief. Hopefully this site does to.

First off I am a bow hunter. I would rather bow hunt than anything. With that being said here's a question for the crossbow bashers. Say you have found a spot that is loaded with deer. You put up a camera and get an old bruiser on film. Area is to thick to gun hunt and is not allowed. With it being so thick it's almost impossible to climb over 6 or 8 feet which makes it almost impossible to bow hunt. So, do you not hunt the old bruiser or do you pick up a crossbow and go after him?

"I" don't pick up no damn crossbow, thats for sure. Find a different way to hunt him.

I have literally never in my life seen an area that is too thick to hunt with any weapon. Too thick to gun hunt? who made that up?

Idiots, plain and simple. The same folks we can't count on when it comes to providing a unified front of hunters against the antis. I'd venture to guess those dissing crossbows are jealous and ignorant. It's a shame that hunters can't come together for the common good. If you don't respect the sport and aren't willing to support and protect it, then get out and leave it to those that do. And shut yer pie holes. Nobody wants to hear that nonsense. PETA has meetings you can join, lol.
Note: I'm a rifle hunter myself, don't own a bow or crossbow but I support those that do 100%!

Judging from your liberal posts in the past, I would have figured you for something like this. There isn't some rule out there that says everyone has to agree on the details, to have the same cause.
