I am sure some people have their own way of doing this that works. I found this and figured I would share. This would help someone that hunts alone, or especially anyone who has back problems when help isn't around.

Seen them before. They make a bunch of related products. Looked at picking one up but the come a long I use now works fine. I hook one end to gun rack on my ranger and use a chain and tilt bed to get deer in. You still need to lift but it assists process and is cheaper than elevator gadget. Though I still may break down & get one the older I get.

I put the antlers on rear rack and drag the body if its a buck around 200 lbs. They never seem to mind.

Easiest way I have found to load one if you just can`t get it on the 4 wheeler is to put the deer`s head on the foot peg and tie its head to a tree and give the 4 wheeler some gas while guiding the deer on the rack.

I'm confused. If you put his head on a foot peg and tie it to a tree, wouldn't the deer stay at the tree when you drive off?

I think he means tie one end of the rope to the head and rest it on the foot peg. Tie the other end to a tree about waist high. drive away from the tree slowly and guide the deer up over the fender and on the back rack.

I bought a gizmo at the Buckmasters show a few years ago. Its a small pulley system that will lock in place once you pull it up like mini blinds do. Haven't shot a deer big enough to try it out yet though. grin

Two ropes, tie both to deer head, run Ropes over tree limb over head, pull deer into air with one rope using 4wheeler. Use 2nd rope to tie off deer in air, back 4 wheeler under deer and use rope to lower on to rack. Then ask when you get your free can am. laugh

Couple of years back I made a contraption for one of my old boss men that attached to the front of his four wheeler to load deer with. It was attached to the frame and basically looked like a forklift but with a flat surface. Use four wheeler to push under deer just like you would a fork lift then use the hoist to fold it back up on the front rack.

You guys need to spend some time exercising during the off season. I just toss them on the wheeler one handed.

I've tried this but when I pull the deer up in the air, it's too far from the 4 wheeler to load it on the rack. I've also had the wheels spin on the leaves.

We had this same discussion several years ago and "Outback" said just pick the deer up and set him in the racks or in the basket and called us a bunch of soft out of shape pansies in nice terms.

In a pinch, I have just dragged a big deer behind the four wheeler to a trail big enough to get my trailer in. Then just loaded him up the ramp.

This is the way I do it. Pretty easy

I bought an l-e-vator because of both shoulders have a torn rotator cuff from a wreck. It works perfect for me. My 11 year old can use it
