My stoeger 3500 is my go to until I get my hands on a 20ga SxS. It shoots great, it's just WAY overkill for a dove shoot.

Did you do the break on your 3500 or would it always cycle light loads?

I'll be taking 3, one for my brother, one for my son, and one for myself. It's his corporate hunt so I guess I'll supply the guns and ammo. Gonna take 2 -12 gauge browning gold hunters and my sons 20 gauge affinity compact for him. Might take the SBE and leave it in the truck for a backup gun in case some of the mossburg or Remington shooters need it. laugh

Dove hunting makes you crazy, it was a dove hunt that caused the split in this place.

I "broke it in" with 2 boxes of 3.5" goose loads. Also do NOT use the recoil reducer if you're shooting light loads.

Mine cycles Remington Heavy Dove like a champ. Federal blue box is hit or miss...I haven't tried any others in it.

Yeah what happened to the guy that promoted his annual dove hunt and invited everyone on AL deer. Guy just disappeared.

If I'm not mistaken he got in an argument and was banned.
