With the state of emergency declared I beat every school system will close due to the fact they don't have to make up the day. However I will be on the fire truck all day and the last time I was there for the storm system with this much hype I videoed the tornado coming through the subdivision behind the station. Mobile County tweeted 45 minutes ago that it will remain open as of now....
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Hell, they don't call tornadoes any better than they predict snow!

I will say this, the storm prediction center has gotten a bit better over the last 10 years but they still can't ever seem to hit the nail on the head. When I was a kid, there were a few years where I saw a lot of tornadoes.....and they fascinated the hell out of me. I was heading to Birmingham up 219 and saw one way off in Shelby county. It wasn't a big storm but the entire cloud was wrapping around that funnel. My father seemed oblivious to it. We very well could have left earlier and possibly have driven through it on the way. Since that day I told myself I'll never be caught unaware again. Plus their very formation is intriguing. It is an awe most folks won't see, and that "cool" aspect is why these idiot Yankees that have the gift of gab take a few meteorology classes, get certified and go on TV and try to tell you how to seek shelter. Only way to not get hurt in a tornado is to not be in it's path. If it is your time though....

Hell, they don't call tornadoes any better than they predict snow! That's a fact I'm not saying they will nail it every time but they are much better at predicting this type weather than winter weather. I bet yall will be listening to them tomorrow.

Hell, they don't call tornadoes any better than they predict snow! Every time I've been in Hattiesburg MS and they've said there would likel be a tornado, there's been a tornado.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I hope and pray that they are wrong and it is a non-event.
