This race will be closer than the normal Alabama Senate races we've gotten used to.

The Liberals and die hard Democrats will vote for the Democrat regardelss...as usual. The die hard conservatives will vote for Moore even if they don't like him because they will never support a democrat because of what the national party stands for...as usual.

The middle/moderate/swing & switch voters are the ones giving Doug Jones more traction. Many of these people are not religious at all and are frankly not a fan of Roy Moore even before all the allegations from 40 years ago....they can be and are easily swayed with a few conservative-ish democrat talking points like Jones is doing. Their #s have increased after the allegations. I'm talking the white younger social media driven enlightened family crowds in Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, etc...the hip, cool young families that grew up under Bill Clinton and came of age under Obama. They are not conservative like the rest of us. I'm also talking about the older white couples who are fine with protest voting against an outspoken Christian...especially one now with allegations. There are more Doug Jones signs in yards in Vestavia, Hoover, Pelham, Alabaster Chelsea than I've ever seen before for any other national Democrat candidate....after the allegations came out the signs for Jones doubled.

The 10 point Jones lead in the Fox poll is probably very wrong...only had a sample of less than 1200 people....that poll is an outlier to all the other polls that show Moore with a 4-6 point lead.

For the typical Alabama conservative, this election isn't really FOR anyone...but a hold your nose and make sure a national progressive democrat doesn't get a win.

I'm not a Moore fan at all. But I'm a Never-Jones voter. Every single Never-Jones or anti-Democrat voter needs to go vote tomorrow.

I got a robo call about 10 minutes ago. It was a recorded message with a speech from Richard Shelby about not voting for the rapin' bastard Roy Moore.

Various Leftist and RINO groups have spent tens of millions on negative adds against Moore. And they are effective. They are basically characterizing this as a life and death issue for African Americans - as if going back to slavery and Jim Crow segregation will happen if Moore wins. They are counting on these racist scare tactics to get a large percentage of black people to vote, whereas but for those ads they would not be as motivated to vote in this special election.

I suspect every single LGBTQ will vote Dem as will registered Dems and every feminist woman and probably a much higher percentage of blacks then one would have originally expected for a special election.

The "Highway 31" group that is running the most scurrilous ads is an Obama group out of D.C.

I think the polls are "push" polls designed to motivate one side or the other. The fox poll showing Jones leading is to motivate conservatives who may have stayed home to get out and vote, and vice versa the AL.com poll.
