This is what I have. Would not trade for any of the others. MX5200 model (4 more horsepower because of turbo and extendable lift arms on rear which are fantastic when you're hooking up by yourself) for another $1k. That'll be hard to beat. Around 30,000 HST Kubota.

I'm shopping around myself. Transmission choice has me in a fix. I have a HST and like it, but it has its issues. Slow and I have bent the throttle rods which makes it slower and out of adjustment. Plus a slight loss of HP. I'm thinking one of the shuttle shifts?

Will a half ton pull that? Looks like about 3,700 lbs without loader so should be 4,700-5,000 with loader, add a set of disc 5,500-6,000 So I guess depends on which 1/2 ton truck you are using.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

Unless you are going to be using it mainly for plowing big ag fields get the hydrostatic transmission worth the extra $. Didn't realize how much untill I used one for a year then got on a geared tractor doing some bucket work in tight places. For my usage I would never own any other kind. I think hydrostatic is safer too. When you stop pressing down it stops going forward. I would not like that one bit. No way I think tractors are the only contraptions left on the market (boats, lawnmowers) that don't have some sort of way of cutting off if the operator is incapacitated. I can't understand why tractors don't have a kill switch lanyard, like a boat. It would cost $10 in parts, and if you don't like it, don't use it. If you get off the seat of a hydrostatic Kubota and you have the go pedal mased, the engine quits. If you fall off the darn thing, it stops moving. And even if you dont mind shifting gears, I dont care who you are or how good you are on a clutch tractor, if you are doing loader work or even plowing patches in the woods, a hydro drive tractor will outwork you all day long.

I’ve got a tundra. Looks like when you add an implement to the weight of the trailer it would be close. They say a tundra will pull 10k lbs. but I think that is optimistic. The engine is strong enough but the truck needs a little more ass behind it. I love that tractor. I’ve got a 2011 Kubota HST 34 hp 4x4 w/ loader that I’m thinking about trading to get that size

Load it and drag it. No need for 2 trips. Back the tractor on the trailer and put the weight on the trailer and not the truck and roll with it.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
