I replaced the shocks on my 1968 F100 last month. Prefix was C8 which means they were original to the truck. It was honestly amazing how worn out they were, and how much better the truck drove and rode with new Monroes. Monroe shocks are very reasonably priced. My previous Ford Ranger seemed like it was riding fine with the old shocks, but my tires were cupping. I bought new tires and had them installed and bought 4 new Monroe shocks for super cheap and installed them myself in less than an hour and it made a huge difference.
