Jackson county has the most Alabama Whitetail Record entries followed by Madison..... those are actually the counties the deer were killed in Thats cause theys eleventeen hunnerd millyun people huntin up there...i make fun of marshall co alot...cause we really aint got no dang deer..but truth bee told...jackson aint much better..pokets of decent hunting but fo the most part..i wouldnt waste my time or money...thats just me personally...an ive hunted that dang place my whole life. Shoot that’s not what I’ve heard.... it’s supposed to be trophy deer every where up there... that’s why you can’t find a lease.... everyone that used to hunt Marengo is up in Jackson now I actually went from Jackson to Marengo in 1998 and Jackson was better then but I do have 2 mounted from Marengo with 2 years of hunting there...what you'll never see is etowah co on the list which I've hunted last 15 years 😃 Jackson was pretty good huntin once...an compared to some places...its a little better...an yall just dont hear about clubs an land cause they aint a buncha aldeer members hollerin about leases an clubs opening..they are around..but id say 75% are on the side of a mountain you bout have to crawl up..the other 25% is good huntin thats nice an id love to be apart of it..thems the ones you sure nuff aint gonna hear about...but verses somewhere else...id 100% rather be in the blackbelt if for no other reason than its flat for the most part..sept northern dallas county...screw that place...one of the only places..once i realised where i was..i truly did have to walk up hill both ways.

I really don’t have a dog in the fight.... I just know that the county I hunt barely got mentioned in this thread and lease prices stopped going up this year which tells me the crowds are looking elsewhere and that’s A OK with me!! What county u hunt?

Every time one of these threads come up I always expect South Autauga County to be mentioned but it never is. There is so much agriculture in South Autauga county there has to be some studs roaming around. I happen to know where several south Autauga county studs are hanging on the wall. I miss hunting that place. I had some good times up there.
