I was just wondering who else is using something new this season for hunting. With all the ads we see on TV who ventured out to try something different and what is it. I purchased the Evercalm and Extinguisher Game Call. I spent $50 for the new stuff total.

New rifle (shock, I know). Cheapest one I’ve had, $250 Ruger American .243. Got a deer first trip to woods.

Hunting a new place entirely with completely different terrain. Nothing but dang pine trees in Autauga county it seems. Shorter ranges. Carrying nothing with more than 2.5X on the low end optics wise. Setup a little Model Seven in 223 as a doe buster with a Leupold 2-7 on it. What u gonna do if a 250lb buck steps out out 200 yards? 😁 For the op question I haven't bought anything in 5 years besides scent killer and broadheads that I remember

Ha. No, I am looking forward to finally justifying my Steyr Scout after these years.

Well i did finally wear the Danner Pronghorns i purchased almost 3 years ago today lol. Just hard for me to get used to a lace up for hunting, because I'm always around clay, river swamp, or prairie mud so rubber boots are hard to beat, and they clean up oh sooooo much easier
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!
