I'm still holding out. Went to the co-op this morning and I could tell that the guy working behind the counter didn't want to wear his mask either. He didn't say nothing about myself not wearing one. 2 other workers were not wearing one and talking in the distance. One place I will not be back at is the local Popeyes. They will not do a refill while dining in because of the virus. They will not get you a new cup either. Each refill will cost you and is 90% ice.

I haven't worn one yet, and don't plan to do so.

I haven't worn one yet, but have tried to stay away from places that require them. I did go with the wife to a furniture store yesterday and us and two other families weren't wearing masks, while two families were. None of the employees were wearing masks. No one at the gas stations I have stopped at including the workers have been wearing masks.

My wife and I wear one indoors at public places. I personally don't think it makes very much difference in contracting or not, unless you walk through where some inconsiderate SOB just sneezed all over everything. But, she is on the realm of being a cancer survivor and being super cautious. She refuses to be a prisoner 'at home' because of her condition or some smartA%# saying "well, you shouldn't be out"..... that is more communistic than being told to wear a mask. I too have to wear a mask at work, or face termination, no warning, even if pulled below the nose. If people 'keep their distance', which I prefer anyway, all will be fine.

For the first time since early March, we tried to go out to eat at a nice restaurant Friday night. We wore our masks in because it was required. They had a sign at the hostess stand saying the business could face up to a $500 fine if they didn't follow the mandate. No one could be in the waiting area and you had to wait in your car for the 45 minute to hour wait time because only seating 50% capacity. No thanks. We just ordered it to go and rode around for 30 minutes. Picked up our food and came home.

I'll be so glad when this BS is over.

My wife and I have been to a few smaller businesses and not had our masks on. We asked the employees if we needed to go back to the truck and get them, the reply was (from all asked) : "If you don't have yours on, we don't have to wear ours." They will continue to get our business!!

I would have left and would never go back.

Publix had a new sign out front this morning stating masks had to be worn covering the mouth and nose while shopping and that was required by law. I walked over read the sign then continued shopping while social distancing with no mask.

No mask for me, either.

Out back is right...when mawmaw made her "executive order", there was no modification of rules from the health dept., so no rule, and it wasn't voted on by the legislature, so no law...and I don't work for Gov. Ivey, she works for me, so she doesn't get to tell me what to do. ANYTIME I feel threatened or at risk, I take whatever steps I need to or can to mitigate. I've done that since a long time before I ever heard of any corona virus, and I'll continue to do so. Example, if I was real thirsty and all I had was a gallon of gasoline, my brain would look gasoline up in the file cabinet (no digital storage upgrade, yet!), and tell me that gasoline is poisonous and I shouldn't drink it...I would use that information to arrive at the decision to not drink the gasoline. This system has served me pretty well for almost 58 years, now.

I hear ya Outback. I’m not going to fault a business if they want to run it whatever way they see fit. It’s our choice to patronize them or not. It’s our favorite place to eat and had they been able to seat us within 15 min or so, we would’ve stayed. No one was wearing them at the tables, just to get in and be seated.
