I haven’t tried the so called legal shine, I tried it in Gatlinburg. But It didn’t seem like the same as the stuff made in the woods. Where I got it has dried up so I might just have to try the legal stuff. I have to admit though that fireball is some count.

Fireball has propylene glycol (antifreeze) in it.

That store bought shine is horsechit. Most of it is just flavored grain alcohol. Making good corn liquor or rye whiskey is an art and it starts with good water and quality ingredients. You’re not gonna find either of those in mass produced swill. If you haven’t tried Tito’s give it a go, it’s a vodka but is distilled from yellow corn instead of potatoes. It’s not the real deal but it will scratch that itch.

That Smokie Mt stuff is hideous. It ain't even fit to run in an engine. They have to flavor it up with apple juice and such and it still sucks. Buckscent , if you're up around the top right corner of the state I might know where to get some .

Midnight Moon ain't too bad. Probably the best legal stuff I've tried. Still don't hold a candle to some real coon bone liquor.

I love the ol smokey pickle shin. The only problem is there's too much pickle and not enough shine.
There's barely one good drink and then I'm left with a jar full of pickles.

Did that shine tasting back to back one day. Got on that incline and realized. Dam. I'm drunk. Wife fell getting off the chair and we had a good laugh. Hung out on top till we sobered up enough to ride back down a get beer.

Yea I did them as well and you don’t realize it till your walking out and your walking a little sideways.

Wonder if the small home stills you can Buy online are any good

It’s tempting but a felony if you get caught.

I split time in different states. I guess I should get a still at my Missouri place. Legal to make 200 gallons a year for personal consumption. I think that would result in a permanent sideways walk.

Yes, I guess in theory the feds could just you. But, I think it is kind of like the marijuana laws though and they look the other way. I wouldn't think transporting across state lines would be a good idea.

No person at least twenty-one years of age shall be required to obtain a license to manufacture intoxicating liquor, as defined in section 311.020, for personal or family use. The aggregate amount of intoxicating liquor manufactured per household shall not exceed two hundred gallons per calendar year if there are two or more persons over the age of twenty-one years in such household, or one hundred gallons per calendar year if there is only one person over the age of twenty-one years in such household. Any intoxicating liquor manufactured under this section shall not be sold or offered for sale

I had a neighbor at Auburn from Tennessee brought some from home. Best stuff I ever tasted. I was sitting in a chair thinking this stuff is good but it don’t even give you any buzz at all . Next thing I knew I was laying in the floor and didn’t know how I got there.
