I’ve said for years that a lot of you folks that think Law Enforcement and Military will be on our side of/when that day comes are going to be severely disappointed. Sure, a few individuals will be.....but never underestimate folks’ inclination to “look out for #1”. Look who signs their paychecks. Not to mention, as I’ve mentioned before, you’d be surprised how many in the military and law enforcement communities ALREADY think that only THEY should have guns, not the general public. I know a few, personally. if you’re relying on the hope that they’re “on our side”, you’re gonna be severely let down.
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

The way forward is as predictable as these recent shootings were.
They will ban "assault" weapons but grandfather in existing legally purchased ones.
Then, there will be more mass shootings involving "assault" weapons.
They will pass a mandatory buyback for all "assault" weapons.
There will be more mass shootings involving semi auto sporting arms.
They will ban semi auto sporting arms but grandfather in legally purchased ones.

In the midst of this will be mandatory firearm registration, ammunition taxes, changing the definition of who can buy a firearm, ban interstate travel with a firearm, crushing lawsuit losses for manufacturers, etc
Before you know what happened, it is done.

A friend of mine showed me a bodycam video of him being arrested by uab police a few days ago. What happened to him was pretty sorry. There are a few good cops. They would probably resist confiscating guns. I believe most are power tripping bullies and they would gladly disarm John Q. Public just for the fun of it. UAB police are asshole wanna be cops.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
