Im at home in my bed every night. I dont tell my wife how to spend her money, she dont tell me how to spend mine. She dont gripe when i go hunting or fishing. I dont gripe when she goes where she goes, sometimes i dont even know, except we have that lifs360. We also do alot of stuff together just me and her and alot of stuff together as a family with the kids. All that being said, i never have been the kind to be away from home, im a homebody. I figure as long as things in a relationship are as close to equal as they can be, itll work out. And like AC said, "shut up Karen".

I lucked out.for almost 15 years my wife would take kids and go hang out with her large and loving family in California for 4-6 weeks in the summer.So she never has said a word to me about the time I spent on my activities, and it was excessive at times.Money wise I spent a lot, and some I really should not have at the time.But I realized the error of my ways and for the last years have been making it up to her.She pretty much gets just about anything I even think she might want now.

She had a guy just like you one time and dumped him. Now, she has a little mousy fellow that is at home playing video games and eating Taco Bell rather than bringing in a paycheck, hunting/fishing and taking care of her throughout the house!!!! She misses a guy like you and is jealous but won’t say it.

I got lucky I married a girl that loves hunting and fishing more than I did. 6 racked bucks, 100’s of crappie and three years later we still hunting and fishing. 😁😁

Tell her that she needs to work that out with her own husband/boyfriend/girlfriend like you and your wife did. She'll be much happier that way and may even get some attention from her own significant other if she quits acting like a beach. Nobody needs a dictator like she wants to be.

I’m blessed to hunt mostly within 1-3 minutes of the house so not much is said. She’s also able to go shopping, spend time with her family and GFs doing things from time to time. All I ask is she not plan too much for me during rut and all has been well. If I had a club or lease that I had to go travel to and stay overnight often I honestly see how some women wouldn’t like that, especially with a job and small kids. If we are all honest and not pricks, it ain’t right to leave a woman at home half the winter to raise kids two ppl created.

Join a hunting club. My wife says "You paid for it, you better go hunt!"

She has a point. I’ve witnessed, my entire life, men who spent every spare penny that the family had so that they could hunt and fish. Not a one of them has ended up making a living from fishing or sustained the family on venison.

My family likes venison and we eat an average of 5 deer per year, because we like it. It would be cheaper to never hunt and just purchase all of our meat from the grocery store.

I hunt and my wife hunts, we enjoy it and the family doesn’t suffer for us to have a hobby.

There’s too many variables to quantify the equation she presented.

Can said kids wipe their own asses and communicate what they want to say? Are they raised to be helpful?

Is she spending her own money or mine?

Does she do cool tricks when we’re together?

I could go on and on.

I hunt a lot. The only thing my wife has ever said about the amount of time I spend in the woods is “I think your obsessed with hunting” as she cracked a smile. Most of the time she’ll ask me why I’m NOT hunting on a particular day.

As far as the woman stirring the pot, I would’ve just said that’s one of those things that gets ironed out before you tie the knot. Then it’s never a problem.
